Painting a scene I love is, for me, connecting intimately with the Creator of that scene. I see colors in relationship with each other. I sense the tension and energy of the various textures and shapes playing together. As I add my own sensory responses the painting takes shape.
Thus, painting is a spiritual experience for me!
