Fine Arts and Crafts
Original jewelry designs in Sterling silver and gold-filled wire using genuine gemstones, dichroic glass, etc. Silversmithed designs, also, available from this artist.
When you look in a kaleidoscope, you'll view an infinite nmber of shapes and colors with no two being exactly the same. For me taht pretty much describes the possibilities for jewelry making--endless combinations of metals and stones to explore. Whatever I do with the stone and metal is pure pleasure for me.
I am a former art teacher and nowspend most of my spare time designing jewelry. I strive to make each piece of jewelry unique in some way.
My jewelry designs can be found year-round at
Number 7 Arts located on East Main St. in downtown Brevard, NC and at the Hendersonville Gem and Mineral Museum located on fourth and Main in Hendersonville.
I participate in the following shows: Transylvania Handcrafters Guild, Waterfall Crafters, Patchwork Craft Group (all in Brevard, NC), Tryon Arts Festival (Tryon, NC),
Methodist Men's Show (Hendersonville, NC).
I, also, have just begun teaching wire-wrapping classes at the Tryon Arts Center in Tryon, NC.
I hold a BA in English/Theater from ETSU and a BFA in art from UNC-Asheville. I have attended
jewelry making classes at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, Haywood Community College, Tryon Arts Center, and other classes sponsored by the Southeastern Gem & Mineral Society.
I am a founding member of the Number 7 Arts.
