With conscious-raising and memorable songs, exquisite acoustic instrumentation, heart-stirring vocal harmonies and inspired percussion, The Babies have a relaxed, contemporary sound that could be coming out of the ease of one's own livingroom.
Suzanne Schmitt writes heart-connecting songs, plays acoustic guitar and sings with a natural and sparkling beauty. Jerry Trapp plays exquisite melody on acoustic guitar, dobro, mandolin, etc..., as well as weaving spirited vocals and harmonies. Brother, Jim Trapp, plays complimentary percussion with a sensitive, yet dynamic sense of rhythm and creativity. Occasionally or as the moment should call for, the Babies are accompanied by guest musicians such as bass, cello, saxaphone, flute, squeezebox, harmonica, vocals etc...
Moon shine Babies are musically diverse and find their music appeals to old, young and in between. In addition to playing local music venues, clubs and Festivals, they are equally adapt at House Concerts, Private Parties, Retirement Communities, Weddings, and Outreach Benefits.
Though their music finds it's roots in the Acoustic/Americana/Folk style, their combined 30+ years of musical experience allows them to play songs from many different genres while allowing for their own inspired interpretation.
