This contemporary musical is based on the Gospel according to Matthew. The show
features a comedic troupe of eccentric players who team up with Jesus to teach his lessons
in a new age through parables, games, and tomfoolery. Even after the haunting crucifixion,
Jesus’ message of kindness, tolerance and love lives vibrantly on.

Delaware Valley Federal Corrections Institution (Deval) is a low-level security prison for
"pink" collar criminals. Four highly educated, successful, professional women reside there.
The "Divas" have finagled a way to continue their lavish and luxurious lifestyles. How do
they solve a murder and save their lifestyle when they learn the facility is closing and the
inmates are to relocate?

Arts of Brevard Virginia Pendergrass to Offer Spring & Summer Painting Workshops
Jun 24, 2016 - Jun 24, 2016 See Below for Dates and Times
VIRGINIA PRNDERGRASS OFFERS SPRING AND SUMMER PAINTING WORKSHOPS-June 24. Asheville. 828-553-1063

Virginia Pendergrass will offer a series of workshops for beginning and intermediate painters on Principles of Representational Painting, starting in June.  The first one-day workshop, Introduction to Painting for true beginners, will take place 10 am - 5 pm Friday, June 24, followed by a two-day workshop, Color Mixing, 10 am- 5 pm on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24, 2016.  The workshops will be held at Trackside Studios, 375 Depot Street in the River Arts District, Asheville, NC.

Pendergrass believes you need both emotion and intellect to paint well.  “When all is going well technically, your painting will benefit from your passion.  If you run into a problem, however, you need your intellect,” she says.

“Every original painting is an experiment,” explains Pendergrass.  “You will often run into problems which have to be identified and solved to complete a painting. An important intellectual tool is familiarity with long-standing principles of representational painting.”

These workshops can accommodate painters of various levels of experience. In each workshop, after slide presentation and explanation, you will be guided in applying the principles discussed to your own painting.

For those who have little or no painting experience, Introduction to Painting is strongly recommended.  This brief overview of topics prepares you for subsequent workshops.  You will complete one painting, with step-by-step demonstration of one approach to creating a painting.

Classes will be given at: Trackside Studios, 375 Depot Street, River Arts District, Asheville, NC  28801
